While St52.3 (E355) is an excellent carbon steel for standard pressure levels, 27SiMn (Silicon-Manganese alloy steel) offers much higher yield strength and tensile limits. Specifically, 27SiMn achieves a yield strength of over 835 MPa after proper heat treatment (quenching and tempering), compared to roughly 355 MPa for St52.3.
